Lover of tacos, beach chairs, sunshine, & all things skincare. Even after 20 years in the dental field, Whitney has an insatiable passion for the business of orthodontics. She’s innately drawn to helping others achieve their goal of a beautiful smile and finding a way to make this happen for families. Her 2 daughters and Husband have supported her 24/7 dedication to being the cornerstone of Marc Allen Orthodontics for nearly a decade. Everyone should be so lucky to have a Whitney in their life, too.
Melinda
Treatment Coordinator
If you’re looking for experienced talent, look no further. Melinda’s 26 years of orthodontic skills are the culmination of Washington State orthodontists’ training, Florida orthodontists, and now, of the one and only Marc Allen. Melinda is quite driven to deliver the highest level of care in any position within our practice. Her 2 grown children do demand a week or two a year from her back on the West Coast, so we try and give her a bonus before each trip to keep her on a roundtrip. We are pretty confident she loves the 4 seasons, the beauty of NC, and her secret NC-bound lover too much to not return to the best job in the world with the best orthodontist on the East Coast and beyond.
Rhonda
Lead Orthodontic Assistant
Meet Rhonda, our dental rockstar and clinic lead of 9 years and counting. Thirty-five years of dental expertise ensure top-notch service. She loves working with a compassionate and dedicated doctor and team obsessed with delivering perfect and flawless smiles every time! An NC native of the Charlotte area, Rhonda is a Tarheel through and through. She is married with a daughter and an overly pampered and chatty feline. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, camping, and enjoying the great outdoors.
Shawna
Orthodontic Assistant
Shawna has worked in many orthodontic offices from Chicago to Charlotte. She was brought in from retirement from Dr. Allen’s home during Covid to fill unfillable assistant spaces and hasn’t left. We had no idea she had a decade of dental/orthodontic assisting experience before we snagged her. We have welcomed her genuine Midwestern transparency and humility, her talents and gentle care, even with her being the Boss’s wife. Together, they have 2 daughters. They all love the beach and baking. Shawna’s purpose in life, other than being the best hugger in any room, is to be Dr. Allen’s chauffeur, to keep him grounded, on time, focused, and feeling loved, and she, without a doubt, loves every bit of that job.
Kimberly
Orthodontic Assistant
Kimberly goes by Kim, Kimbo, Jersey, Lady Gaga, or just Kimberly. Her identity crisis comes from being the youngest of 3 girls. Her parents still offer their condolences as well as dinner on a regular basis. Being an army brat, a child vagabond, we can count on Kimberly being able to talk to anyone instantaneously in hopes of a sincere, lasting relationship. At the moment, Kimberly is attending cosmetology school in hopes of bringing a new dimension to Marc Allen Ortho in the coming year or two. Ultimately, Kimberly, without a doubt, will be doing facials and cutting men’s hair in Bora Bora.
Pricilla
Orthodontic Assistant
Pricilla loves tacos, but she swears it’s not because she’s fluent in Spanish. Her mom’s anxiety for perfect teeth motivated her investment in her dental career. She comes to us highly trained in orthodontic assisting as well as in the pediatric dental world. Her love of human interactions can be seen with each patient. She loves her friend time as well as her time with her elementary school-aged daughter. We are still trying to show her the East Coast way is better than her West Coast training in life. Dr. Allen is happy he finally has someone who also loves listening and offering therapy to others and that he has someone who can definitely bring in an amazing, delicious dish for our team meetings.
